Chandra’s Quest
Prologue
I started writing Chandra’s Quest in 1997 and finished it in 2001. Originally, I thought up the story in the late 1980’s but didn’t get around to writing it until the late 1990’s. The first edition of this book was published in 2002/2003. The book itself was unabridged and therefore I chose to revise the whole book-combining book 1, 2, 3 into one book. Later I decided to write book 4 adding the prequel I wrote in 1995 to Chandra’s Quest called Sor’an’s Secret Documents, which was twenty pages long, but I cut it down to six pages. In that chapter, I give a more detail account about why Sor’an was obsessed with Chandra and the spiritual connection they both share. Moreover, the climatic outcome of their relationship that ultimately destroys them both.
I’ve changed few things in the book, the characters and the story plot itself. I updated the characters and changed some of the names of the planets. For instance, Europa is now Eur’leau. This will be the second and final edition of Chandra’s Quest. I will not be revising this book ever again!
About the main character: the main character kept a journal, which she documented her daily life when was living in a brothel house, called the Tower on the planet Eur‘leau. Chandra is a passionate complex character with a secret; she was once an Enforcer (a cyborg soldier) who served Sor’an the emperor from the planet Nykarus during the war between Nykarus and Earth. In the year 2510 almost two hundred and fifty years after Chandra’s supposed death Leandra who is the great great granddaughter of Chandra’s is given the private journal that belonged to Chandra by her grandmother, Su’lee. Su'lee's request was that Leandra protect and guard the secret journal. “What is in this journal? “ Leandra ask her dying grandmother. “It is best that you don’t know. Keep it safe promise me.” After her grandmother’s death, she was very curious about the mysterious journal and thus begins reading it and discovers that the famous Ny’karin Slayer had a deep connection to Sor’an. A love that transcended through many lifetimes. Leandra visits the Hall of Records on the planet Eur’leau where King Xanthus gave Chandra the title ‘The Ny’karin Slayer’. History records show that Chandra destroyed the Ny’kariAfter reading through the journal Leandra realizes that the famed ‘Ny'karin Slayer’ may have been a sympathizer to the Ny’karin Empire so she sets out to prove her suspicions by going to the planet Nykarus and finding records that Chandra had joined the Ny‘karins willing. As she investigates further, Leandra discovered that Chandra was one of many victims that Sor’an manipulated into joining his war. She was not a sympathizer after all. Leandra's extensive knowledge about Ny'karin technological advances in longevity convinced her that perhaps there is a chance that Chandra may be alive on the planet Nykarus perhaps in one of the stasis chambers set up by Sor‘an himself. Therefore she and her expedition crew, set out in search of Chandra.
How does the story begin?
The story begins two hundred and fifty years before the birth of Leandra. It tells of Chandra's life; how Sor'an made her into one of his experimental cyborg soldiers called Enforcers. When his army invaded Earth, he forced Chandra to join him and the Ny’karin Empire by holding her children prisoners in a stasis chamber. The journal talks about how Chandra betrayed Sor'an after the war and he sends her to a penal colony on a cold and harsh ravaged planet. After five years, Sor’an decides to give Chandra a second chance so he request for her release. On her way back to Nykarus, slave pirates attacked the prisoner ship and raided its cargo. Chandra was taken to one of Eur’leau’s moons, Dyna. She was sold to a madam who runs a brothel house on the continent of Atlan on the planet Eur‘leau. A few years later, the madam Adara sold her to a bounty hunter named Xenos, half lizard half man. Many obstacles confront Chandra throughout her journey but with the help of her friends, Carlos, Treau (a changeling), and Keeja (her friend from the brothel house) she will find the answers she seeks and the memory she lost. In book three, she is force to make a tough decision when Sor’an discovers that she is a spy for the Planetary Alliance. The Planetary Alliance is a rebellion group set out to destroy the Ny’karin Empire for the good of all who live in the Pledius star system and Earth.
Upon discovering, Sor'an's true intentions Chandra sets out to destroy the Hive the main power source the life force of the Ny’karins. Two hundred and fifty years later Leandra and her crew find the pod and bring the famed Ny'karin Slayer out of her stasis. Chandra's revival sets off a chain of events! The story climaxes when Chandra and Solan, (in Sor'an's reincarnated form) are finally reunited only to be executed by a time traveling bounty hunter named Makea. Leandra & Valen seek refuge in Avolea on the planet Eur’leau. They are wanted for the murder of Solan and therefore must live in hiding forever in Avolea. They eventually have children and die of old age. They are never found.

Note from the author: I mentioned on my website that Chandra’s Quest is a combination of the Chronicles of Gor & the Atlan Saga which are books that were written last century however Chandra’s Quest is from my own imagination and there are NO similarities to any of the characters in those books--Chronicles of Gor & the Atlan Saga. Moreover, this book was written for the male reader but I think everyone will enjoy Chandra’s Quest if they enjoy sci-fi & fantasy literature. I have written something about the 2012 phenomena in book four of Chandra's Quest. The page can be found in Sor’an’s Secret Documents. In addition, just in case nothing really DOES happen in 2012 that profoundly changes everyone’s lives and ends everything we know, I believe it's only fair to say that perhaps this story (Chandra’s Quest) took place in a alternate reality, of course.
The book has adult content, romance, mystery & adventure. Enjoy!
