Leandra's dying grandmother, Su'lee, gives her a journal that had once belonged to her great, great, great granddmother, Chandra. Chandra, in her time, had been the legendary Ny'karin Slayer. Su'lee's request was that Leandra protect and guard the secret journal. Leandra, however, after having read through the journal realizes that the famed Ny'karin Slayer was actually a Ny'karin sympathizer. The journal presents hard evidence that during the last war on Earth, Chandra betrayed her own human race and joined forces with Sor'an, an evil emperor of the planet Nykarus. Leandra's extensive knowledge about Ny'karin technological advances in longevity, convince her that Chandra could possibly still be alive. Chandra must face justice for the war crimes she committed on Earth. Leandra sends a copy of the journal to Solan, the senator of the Planetary Alliance, with hopes of obtaining the necessary funding to send an expedition to the Omega System to find the planet of Nykarus and to find Chandra, if indeed she still lives, and bring her back. The story begins two hundred and fifty years before the birth of Leandra. It tells of Chandra's life; how Chandra stood by Sor'an's side when he invaded and occupied Earth in the year 2012, how Sor'an made her into one of his experimental cyborg enforcers, how she betryaed Sor'an after the war, how she was sold to an owner of a brothel and then to a bounty hunter, how she escaped and how she begins to piece together all the pieces of the puzzle that are her life, including finding her children. Many obstacles confront her throughout her journey. Chandra is forced to make tough decisions. In the end, Sor'an's true intentions are revealed. He discovers that Chandra is a spy for the Planetary Alliance. He orders her to be placed in a stasis pod and set adrift forever in the Forbidden Sector of space. Now, two hundred and fifty years later, Leandra and her expedition crew, set out in search of Chandra. The search is not in vain; they find the pod and bring the famed Ny'karin Slayer out of her coma. Chandra's revival sets off a chain of events! The story climaxes when Chandra and Solan, (in Sor'an's reincarnated form) are reunited before being destroyed by a time traveling bounty hunter..
